Iran? Afghanistan? The real risk to our national security may be the internet piracy of China, where economic espionage has no repercussions. Private and government-led hackers destroy American R&D and related industries by stealing information and implementing production by cheap labor and abused workers.
90%-95% of internet economic espionage is based in China.
The end result is out-of business American companies and increased unemployment.
Another thing to think about as we purchase “made in China” imports…. Are we supporting our most dangerous enemy? There are measures we can take, but no one dares discuss them- WTO sanctions, and yes, tariffs. Protectionism against lawless pirates is not the same as isolationism.
The level of attack is increasingly a danger to national security. This is an ongoing covert war rarely discussed in the media.
From Google to the US Chamber of Commerce, US sites have been and are under attack.
The long term potential effects are chilling.
